On Lexington Avenue, I paused to admire the holiday window of a bookstore.  As I was growing up, I was happy to receive a “Hardy Boys” book for Christmas.  It may not have been Shakespeare, but those detective stories helped me develop a love of reading.  In the 1970′s, the “Hardy Boys” was made into a TV series.  One of the actors, Shaun Cassidy, was also a singer.  His biggest hit, a catchy cover of “Da Doo Ron Ron,” is in my music library:)  (Photo taken on December 7, 2018)
