TEN OPEN-ENDED QUESTIONS TO PERK UP DULL HOLIDAY GET-TOGETHERS

Tis the season for holiday parties and family get-togethers. I find that coming up with some good discussion questions before these events is a great way to ensure the conversation doesn't grow stale, and is a fun way to get to know more about your friends and family. I love asking people questions and, since I do it for a living and am so used to it, asking people direct and sometimes rapid-fire questions is always my fallback maneuver when faced with awkward social situations. (Apologies to anyone I may have cornered in the past with this tactic.)  To ensure there is no awkward silences at your holiday get together, make sure to come armed with these discussion questions or feel free to come up with your own variations, I would love to hear them! 1. Who is your oddest celebrity crush and why do you like that person? 2. In the movie about your life, what song would you want to play during your montage scenes? 3. What is the strangest gift you have ever received? 4. If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first thing you would buy? 5. What is your spirit animal? 6. In your opinion, what is the greatest use of a song in a movie?  7. What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you? 8. What person, place or thing are you currently obsessed with and why? 9. What is your fondest holiday memory from your childhood? 10. What would you want to eat for your last meal?
