Holidays||TheWorldisScaredofus
You know what? Fine! I don't know why I even bother.
Holidays at Wayne Manor were never happy, at least not for Jason. He never went to these things despite Bruce's pleading which grated on his every nerve. A small huff escaped his lips as he stared up at the snow falling from the clouds and melting onto his skin. A small shiver crawled down his spine and shook his shoulders but he wasn't freezing not yet. Jason didn't mind the cold, maybe because he'd had grown that way over the years so it didn't affect him outwardly or maybe it was weird effect from the pit, either way he wasn't concerned about it.
Snow crunched underneath his boots as he left the manor in a frustrated fury. He had a small argument with Dick and he treated Tim harshly, mostly with cold glares before that evolved into a much larger argument filled with colourful words that would've made his mother faint, not to mention the lovely dark blue bruise he gave Tim as an early Christmas present.
A small sigh escaped his cold lips and a puff of visible frozen air escaped them and evaporated like smoke. He could hear the footsteps of someone behind him, evidently Bruce. "What?" came the snark reply. "I'm not going back in there, Bruce. You know they don't like me and to be frank, I hate them just as much. I don't know why you keep insisting I come to these things."
He bit his lip, eyes avoiding Bruce as he stared down at the snowy ground. "You can't pretend things are like the way they were before and expect everything to be all right. It doesn't work that way, just give up, okay? This isn't a battle you're going to win. If I'm lonely for the holidays so be it. It's not like I haven't spent every other damn day of the year alone and I think I've managed pretty well for the past few years, so the best you can do is just leave me alone. At least there'll be peace then."
A small light chuckle escaped him, but it was bitter. Going forward, he decided to make his leave but he turned his head and kept a stoic look.
"Oh, and tell Tim the shiner's a good look for him. He'll pick up lots of chicks that way."
