The Childrens' Memorial at Yad Vashem
It's one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking things I've experienced. You walk into a dark, maze-like room flooded with little lights like stars--it's very disorienting at first. Then you slowly adapt as you wander through. Meanwhile, soft, somber music is playing in the background as a voice reads out the names and hometown of the children who were victims of the Holocaust.
I wept.
