A spring in his step and a whistle on his lips, Cole headed towards the library with two coffees in his hands. H hadn’t arranged to meet Meredith, but she was almost always with the books, so it was a safe bet to make. This time however, she was nowhere to be found. Cole checked at the front desk as soon as he entered the library, and looked down a couple of the aisles before assuming that she’d disappeared off the face of the earth - as was only rational.
“Hey there.” He gestured over to an unfamiliar guy who seemed to be working there, though he could be wrong. “You seen Meredith about at all? Oh wait, I haven’t even seen you before so uh, do you know Meredith?"
