This is the comment section under an instagram post about Late Bloomer, in Taura Lamb's instagram. There are insults, violent threats, even rape threats. All because an obsessed blog here on tumblr said some things on discord that weren't true. I'm not making this post to call out that blog, because even tho what she did and has been doing for years is wrong, she was not the one to leave those messages.
No, this is a message to all hollanders and tomdayas out there to think really hard about their behavior, the things they say and share with each other.
Do you think Tom Holland is proud of you? Do you think you're defending his honor? The honor of a rich white 24 year old guy? With his own publicity and security team? Well, think again. Tom Holland is probably afraid and embarrassed of you. He was embarrassed back when you bullied Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie, he is annoyed when you keep trying to get him to date his co-stars and he even admitted in a recent interview he knew if he as much as posted the picture of a girl in his instagram, his fans were going to think she was his girlfriend, and if he said anything about breaking up with someone, his fans would turn on her.
So don't think he doesn't know his fans do this kind of stuff, he knows. He predicted your behaviour even before it happened. He sees you, and I can only imagine how ashamed he is of you.
To all the other stans out there, the ones that call yourselves the "sane" part of the fandom: These guys, the crazy stans, the loud minority of obsessed and violent people, makes us all look like shit. They make everybody think the fandom is bad and full of crazy people. So if you know of someone doing these kind of unforgivable shit, call them out. Don't send them hate, simply don't interact with them, block every single one of them and make it clear they are NOT welcome in the fandom. Let them realize they are alone, screaming into the void. If you can, try to repair the damage done and apologise on their behalf, but whatever you do, don't indulge them or interact with them.
This is a sad day for the fandom, and even more sad, is the fact this is not the first time something like that happens. Even I had hate sent my way, and I won't deny the toxicity in this fandom is the reason I won't write for Tom again, probably ever. I'm done with this. I'm done with the Hollander fandom.
