BIOGRAPHY:
Holly was born in Holland, Michigan, to a lovely couple who raised her in a happy home. Holly’s life was picture perfect, honestly. She lived in a big house, had lots of friends, did well in school.
In high school, she was one of the most popular girls there and was also a cheerleader, which was one of her biggest passions. Holly wanted to take it to a professional level, though she had always loved writing as well. This was something she kept more to herself though, as many of her friends found it quite an uncool thing to do.
It was after graduation that Holly’s life took a downturn. She stayed out with her friends that night to celebrate and returned home to the sight of her beautiful big house in flames.
Her parents both died in the fire that night and Holly closed herself off a bit, retreating into herself. She didn’t fully process it properly, however, going off to college despite not being ready. She just wanted to forget, to push it to the back of her head and act like it hadn’t happened.
She had a pretty big breakdown on her fifth week there. Which is also when she met her future wife. It was totally embarrassing and she thought she had made the worst impression ever but the two kept in touch and were quick enough to start dating.
Holly was able to open up to her new girlfriend and slowly she started to feel her grief and allow herself to move past it.
She dropped out of her last year of college and took a chance and self published the novel she had been working on for years online. It became a bit of a success but then the next one didn’t do quite so well. Not terrible but not great, not like the first one. By now she had an actual publisher but Holly feels like maybe she’s just a one hit wonder and she should forget this silly dream.
