Happy birthday, Ava Gardner (24/12/1922-25/01/1990) - natural da Carolina do Norte, EUA. Linda, talentosa, olhar profundo e voz doce. Com sotaque sulista, teve dificuldade no início, mas seu talento para a fotografia abriu um amplo espaço no mundo do cinema. Está entre as 50 maiores estrelas de Hollywood. Morena, não muito alta, olhos verdes, Ava passa por cima do cenário de atrizes loiras que já vinham dominando Hollywood. Possui indicações ao Oscar e Globo de Ouro. Ora tímida, não deixava sua sensualidade de lado. Ela fascinava a todos, de maneira absurda, tanto que o cineasta francês Jean Cocteau, encantado com sua beleza, um dia disse : ela é o animal mais belo do mundo. Porém, não teve muita sorte em relações. Mas a sua com Sinatra marcou para sempre a vida de ambos. Era ateia, a religião nunca lhe interessou muito, sua posição política era uma firme democrata, e há quem diga que Ava foi para Londres nos anos 50, em decorrência das perseguições do Marcathismo que aconteciam na Guerra Fria.
