Nubian goats come in various colors although the most common color is a blend of brown and white. Nubian goats are also called Anglo-Nubian in Britain, where the breed originated. The term “Nubian” was first coined in France, where goats had been imported from the eastern Mediterranean. These goats are one of the largest dairy goat breeds and were once used as a dual-purpose goat for meat and milk. Please stop by and show this animal some love

#holsteins #cows #menageriemonday . 🐄🐄🐄 Oh my goodness! Back to the real world, I guess. To everyone who stopped by my table at #convergence2018 - thank you! Whether you purchased anything or not, whether we spoke for one minute, ten minutes, or not at all, you all helped make this past weekend an incredible and unforgettable experience that I am already eager to return to in 2019. I am lacking words for how awestruck I am at the moment, and will definitely need a few days to decompress and actually process the entirety of it all. So until then, let's talk about animals? 🐮🐮🐮 #funfact - Holstein cows are known as the world's highest-production dairy animal. 🍼🍦🍕 While working on Menagerie II, I often made the decision to include two of the target animal in a piece. There were a few reasons why this was the case: making an interesting composition, showing some sort of interaction between subjects, showing a familial relationship. This one represents the latter. Between seeing cows in the pasture when visiting the grandparents and my cousin's collection of Holstein -themed memorabilia, there has always been a tangential connection between these bovines and family in my mind. 😊 🐄👪🐄 That's all for tonight.
