“Hey, Bunny Trail!
I was wondering if you could do me a solid?”
"Depends. What is it exactly?"

They could have both let it go, easily.
ㅤOne step aside and continue his way down the corridor. Wherever the little lights game had come from, it was good for five minutes of distraction and that was it. And yet... here they were. Face to face, eye on eye [always a bold choice, when on the other side was Itachi], obnoxiously blocking the passage for anyone else who might have just wanted to go to the kitchen and grab a glass of water. Why? Maybe because the Uchiha himself felt bored enough for it. Maybe because it'd been a while since the last moment of mindless fun for no reason; imagine that.
ㅤMaybe because the look of near disgust on Hidan's face was surprisingly amusing, as much as, again, none of this showed on his own expression. Neutral as ever and so was his tone of voice.
ㅤ«Spotlight — a lamp that projects a narrow and often intense beam of light directly on to a place or person. A performer on stage, frequently, but not necessarily.» Hence, the purposefully dull and educational response. As if the heart of the matter resided there.

Assuming I am answering this one right to begin with...
I guess instead of making assumptions I try really hard to analyze things, to see what is there beneath the surface. Easier said than done, but like the underpainting in a watercolor piece, the layers underneath the obvious are often the most important. And I think? that maybe gives me a level of empathy that can be both a benefit and a flaw, but I like to think that I am able to try to understand things where others might glance away. There's something there about being able to merge creative brain with logic - maybe it is overthinking. Probably, most of the time. Maybe it's just that I am able to see too many layers and refuse to disregard any. If you don't try to see them all, you only get an incomplete picture, and I think that would be unkind to do to someone.
~X~——; How long had it been since Neji had last seen him. Weeks? Days? Months? Possibly years? He wasn’t that good at keeping track of time. He knew the seasons had changed a few times. Summer turning to fall, fall into winter, winter into spring, spring into summer, and now, it was once again winter.
He wasn’t sure why they had gone their separate ways, not that it really mattered. Each had their own goals and wants in life. Both bound to each other and yet not.
He wondered if their friendship would still be as strong. Would Hidan still consider him a friend? Or would he be demoted to something less. Neji often blamed himself for not reaching out. He had checked in of course. Watched from afar making sure the man wasn’t stuck in some hole sliced into pieces again. He at least owed Hidan that much after all Hidan had done for Neji to keep Neji from loosing what little marbles he had left.
It was Neji who approached first, quite, keeping himself hidden from Hidan as he caught up to the other in the snow.
It was at least, for the moment, not a raging blizzard, but with the looks of the clouds in distant. Neji knew a storm was right around the corner.
“You’ll catch your death out here if you don’t find somewhere warm soon.” He chuckled softly as he landed next to the man.
“There’s another storm right on your tail.”
@holy-havoc
Come here you weak little bitch. I’m tired of listening to you whining.
"I'm not whining?"
@holy-havoc
"You never fist bumped before?"
holy-havoc
Nah. It’s about this fuck ass organization. I need to ask you a question.
...Okay? What?
