I have a question.
Do animals tell the stories of other animals’ feats in life?
Like how humans do about important figures of the world, like famous shinobi or celebrities similar to the sannin three.
And yes, the distinction between those two categories of people was made on purpose.
Well now, there's a question.
The kunoichi stops carving the wooden block in her hands for a moment to ponder the question without distraction. Over the years of chitterings and chatterings, she's come to know a lot about how animals take in information and how it spreads. But one thing that remained for certain...

Others are standalone animals who have made a name for themselves. The only difference between human celebrities and animal celebrities is that animals do not hold the same sense of reverence as humans tend to, in terms of putting individuals on a pedestal. The stories, instead, are often told for the sake of awareness. To be wary of this figure, or to admire what good they have done. Pedestals can harm when these figures you come to be infatuated with can just as easily make themselves an enemy to you.

Kisame waved her off. "I'll be fine. Not to brag or nothin', but I have taken on Bijuu. So, I can take a beatin'," Besides, he wanted to see Margaret at her full strength. And, speaking from personal experience, nothing felt better than letting it all out. Like a massage, or eating your favourite meal.
And Margaret felt like the only one in the Akatsuki that Kisame could unleash his full potential on without maiming her too badly. Nearest thing he ever got was with Kakuzu. That is, until he accidentally punched through the other man's Doton. Yeah... After that, Kakuzu refused to spar with Kisame again. Must be a pride thing.
Right! Right. Biiju are part of the Akatsuki's long-term goal. Creatures that each member duo could wrangle with their specialties. After all, the One-Tail was fished by Sasori and Deidara. Even if it wasn't Kisame's brute strength, it was still impressive nonetheless. Sometimes it was just easy to forget that among all the other reconnaissance and bounty missions.
Nevertheless, Marg holds his confident gaze (and shining smile) a moment longer... before finally sighing. "Alright, fine. I trust that you'll be ok." In reality, she wasn't so sure if he would, but she would have to be if the spar was to proceed.
"Are we staying within the training grounds or defecting elsewhere? Your choice."
When you get mad, take a deep breath and count to ten. Throw a punch at eight. No one ever expects that.
Prowling for her next victim. Her instincts have been on hyperdrive lately, a need to gnash and bite and claw into something.
It's better that she does now than later. Maybe the next fullmoon will be easier to resist.

He'd heard descriptions of Margaret's true power from Kakuzu, but Kisame never got to experience it for himself. And this way, they could both go all-out without injuring each other too much.
...Well, it wasn't ORIGNALLY Leader-ordered-reconnaissance, but she'd mask it as such, sure.
Instinctually, however, anyone who wanted to see Margaret at 'full power' usually caused a pang of concern in her gut. Kisame was strong! Like, REALLY strong! There was no doubt in her mind! But she was always self-conscious about how... fierce she tended to get in the heat of battle. Something in her blood demanded violence, and sometimes it meant getting just a bit unhinged and bringing out the worst.
"Are... you sure Kisame? I know you're strong of course, don't get me wrong. Just... My chakra nature can be a bit dangerous."

Had she ever thought about going back? She gave a rumbling hum.
"Once or twice. I've made the swim once, I could do it again," she said, bypassing the fact that the more straightforward way of getting back would be to form a new blood contract with a shinobi and have them dismiss her.
"But I've come to enjoy the food on this side a bit too much; there are no cows or chickens over on the island, for example. Plenty of fish, but even I get tired of fish after so long."
"Besides, the only other ninkyōryū that I'd miss is over here, too," she said with a laugh.
"Other ninkyōryū?" The fact that there was another dinosaur like this one around was... Well, it was exciting but equally daunting.
"What are they like? Are they as big as you are?" The Kunoichi would ask. She felt almost like her younger self again, asking a million questions of something that intrigued her. Maybe it was the motherly vibes she was getting from this reptile in particular.

Kakuzu could practically feel the buzz of her nerves even from this distance. She didn't look well, and he could assume she didn't feel well either. He'd been working with Margaret long enough to know the patterns-- such as what tonight was and what that would entail for her.
He hadn't exactly planned for this, but their current location was fortunate.
"There is a place we can spend the night a few miles from here. It's quite isolated, stocked with supplies, and sealed from outside intrusion."
The Akatsuki safehouses scattered across the country could come in quite handy.
The kunoichi lifts her gaze from the ground to (barely) meet his. She wished it wasn't Kakuzu who had gotten stuck with her. She felt like, deep down, he's dealt with a lot of her 'quirks'. Of course, though, when it was possible, the man seemed inclined to help sometimes with or without her input.
If she dismissed him firmly enough, he would likely leave her be. Though given her rather vulnerable state, he was just as likely to sternly refuse to leave her out here like this. At the very least, he offered a solution. Something that wouldn't end up with her on the loose and getting into trouble.
"Is there...?" She croaked, her head feeling heavy and not making any other sensation in her body any better.
"Is... there any section where I can't get to you? Or anyone else?"
