The holes provide the ability to “Let-Go” of the fan during manipulation & provide access to a large portion of the POI-TRICTIONARY 12 ribs instead of 13 to allow for the center of the fan to be without a rib, therefore allowing a 3rd hole to be punched at the perfect center.
