Windows 7 end of life as of 14 January 2020
If you are reading this and are running Windows 7 then you should upgrade. If you aren’t sure what version of Windows you are running you can hit the Windows key (the key with the windows logo on it) and the R key on your keyboard. This will open a run Window – type in winver (short for windows version) and hit enter.
The ‘About Windows’ window will open and let you know what version of Windows you’re on and what build number. All we are looking for is for it to say Windows 8, 8.1, 10.
