One Day in the Life of a Paper Maker

This little book, by James Lamar Weygand at the Press of the Indiana Kid in Nappanee, Indiana, is handprinted on homemade papers.  The book tells a bit of the everyday life of a modern paper maker, with some neat little prints of watermarks throughout the book. Red gilt leather spine, with handmade paper boards.

When in Winter

Here in Iowa City, its been snowing most of the day, so here is a book to match the wintery mood!

The book is printed on a “single sheet of handmade paper, cut and folded into an accordion-fold book” (from the catalog) 

This is number 4 out of an edition of 64.

So here's an idea for #upcycling soup containers from Chinese takeout. I've collected these throughout the year because throwing them away after eating my takeout dinner felt like a crime. These are sturdy and nice containers after all so I gave them a good cleaning in my dishwasher and they are ready to go for at least one more use. I'll fill them with #homemadecookies and gift my dearest colleagues at work. To add a little glamour, I cut my #homemadepaper into circles, painted them with #acryliccolors and added a little bit of #christmas wishes in every language I know.
