The 3 kinds of life by Brendon Bruchard 🕊 . . This spoke to my heart + just adjusted my lens quite a bit today.. especially as I look towards, and think about this past year... and the one to come... . . So many years past, or times “around this time of year” I’ve felt like <<I should have done more >> or I ((should have done less)). I’ve felt burnt out or just not present enough with my babes - relishing our precious time together... talking those important talks and making those important bonds you just can’t form in a waiting room of an activity. You know what I mean? Thankfully this is not one of any of those years 🖤 . . This year’s feels the most balanced #homeschool year so far (hell parenting in general!) - and I just wish I could jot down the recipe or formula and instantly be able to replicate... but alas I cannot. There are though some general themes I’m seeing. The first holding time as more sacred and only saying yes to things that feel like a hell yes (!) Those things are usually things we have NOT done before so new experiences or things on our list we are getting intentional about.. Next, giving my children much more voice and ownership on what their divine souls were wanting (not necessarily what would look great on a resume or what everyone else’s schedule looked like). Third honoring the mundane because in mundane rituals - l i f e still happens. Not everything has to be exciting. Just being and existing together is a beautiful thing too. It doesn’t have to have a hefty price tag either. Lastly, waiting for opportunities to arrive and Life to bless us... vs. always searching, yearning or initiating. It’s been fun to see what stays, what leaves, + arrives 🌟. . . It’s been a charged year. . . . .
