Bit late on the posting (both this specifically and just in general), BUT: another commission I got from @honeye ! More Wendifica beeswax, in case you couldn't tell I'm really into this niche ship that only twelve people have. It's just cute, okay? Don't judge me. :V

Yes, this is also in the Inheritance AU, since Wendy has her eyepatch. Her hair is still long, it's just difficult to tell when she ties it back for work.

Their friendship started this way, years ago, when Mabel wasn't around town after the summer and Pacifica needed a friend, and it just so happened Wendy was available to take her out on therapeutic camping trips where she was allowed to vent to her heart's content, or just talk about whatever she wanted, at her own pace, with no fear of judgement, and then they both grew up and it mutated into something else and... yeah. Paz doesn't live in the Falls anymore, but this is literally the only reason she still comes back every so often. Wendy wishes she could move away and they could live together, but she has too many ties to the town. Plus her job. There's not much demand for park rangers in Portland. :V

Wendy: "Yanno, first time I came up here, I was like, nine. I'd just watched The Lion Prince so I kinda maybe did the 'I Can't Wait to Get the Crown' song, 'cept super off-key and shit." Paz: "Oh God. I'm embarrassed for you." Wendy: "Haha, shut up! Don't tell me, if ya even thoughta doing that, you'd have had to bring in a veteran voice coach an' the entire Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra up here to back you up?" Paz: "Yeah. That's why I never sung, ever. Not once." Wendy: "Oh really? What about the Shack party? Remember, where ya first met Mabel?" Paz: "…That didn't count." Wendy: "Maybe if ya had brought out the big guns, ya wouldn'ta had to bribe Old Man McGucket…" Paz: "Oh my fucking God, you're so right. I had it all wrong this whole time. I need a time tape, stat!" Wendy: "Pffffffffffff"
