19. Which Harry Potter house would you be in? Or are you a Muggle?
In all honesty I would probably be a Muggle, but if I was a wizard I would be in Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. Pottermore sorted me into Ravenclaw with an 11″ yew wand and a unicorn hair core, if you’re curious.
26. How would you define your gender/sexuality?
(I edited this because my last answer was kind of rambling.)
Mostly straight? I’ve only ever been in a relationship with one person (a girl) and I’ve never felt like that about anyone else. I’m not a very sexual person. Sexuality has never been something that concerned me I guess.
30. Pick one of your favorite quotes.
I put one in the last ask, but here’s another:
“Many people need desperately to receive this message: ‘I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.’” - Kurt Vonnegut, Timequake
(Pretty much all of Vonnegut’s novels should also be under the “influential novels” question of the last ask, by the way.)

What is it?
I just realized I never replied to this. WHOOPS.
The team I work with is studying fusion (taking hydrogen and heating it up until it smashes together and forms helium). Long term, I’m studying the effects plasma has when it hits a metal. We have a really cool fusion reactor (just for research; it’s not a powerplant because that is currently impossible) with the coolest name: HIDRA. When it’s up and running, it’ll have plasma that is very, very hot flowing in it. Now, when I say hot, I don’t mean hot for you or me. I mean like...the sun. It’s really, really hot.
But short term I’m just modeling this thing on a computer. It’s not fully put together yet. I’m trying to see what will happen when it turns on. Usually the way research works is someone predicts what will happen with a computer, someone will test his prediction by actually running an experiment, and then usually nothing works and it’s completely wrong so we figure out why we were so unbelievably incorrect. I’m on the computer prediction side of this.

Yeah...I cannot really argue with that. But like a COOL nerd.

Yeah it has its benefits. For example, I never get carded. And nobody can tell that I have a baby face. And it's nice in the winter.
The best part is I can like, stroke it or rub it like people in movies and it makes me look like I'm deep in thought when in reality all I'm thinking is "I wonder if I can curl my mustache to look like a cartoon villain".
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!!! (We should hang out, not just because it's your birthday but also because I feel like I haven't seen you in forever).
THANK YOU MIKKI! We definitely should soon, I’m a little tied up today but I miss you!
