Could you please rethink some of your animal related posts? People taking selfies with bears is not only stupid but utterly ridiculous and extremely dangerous. Posting photos of white tigers without warnings about how unhealthy they are as animal is no good for "wildlife" or the general public's knowledge. And that graphic of the lab and tiger cub is incredibly unhealthy as you can see on bigcatawareness' tumblr.
Hello honeyswept, thank you for your message. Regarding your questions.
About the selfie with the bear. I searched the picture on google and the girl’s name is Emily Sears, she is a model and she has some sort of love for bears. So, honestly I just found this picture and reblogged it.
Yes, taking a picture like this is something really stupid. I definitely would not take a selfie with a grizzly bear. But she did it, she risked her life, why don’t you tell her that. Make a google search “Emily Sears”, she appears on top.
I reblog lots of animals pictures, tigers, lions, dogs, cats etc. If I rebloged a white tiger picture because I liked it. Honestly , I don’t really know what you mean by "unhealthy as animals" or "no good for wildlife" they are animals, they are part of wildlife and nature, and part of this world. And about adding a WARNING to each post I make about tigers: they are tigers, and yes they are very dangerous. I believe that message is very clear for us animal lovers. I know that since I was young. That makes me think you dislike white tigers.
If your point is about having white tigers as pets, well no wild animal is good for pet, but honestly as things are going on these days, the only place for them will be a shelter, a zoo, or someone as crazy to have them as pets. Humans are taking over their habitat, we are killing them for fun or for their skin, or for territory, and the only place left for the remaining of them will be wild reserves, zoos and crazy people willing to adopt them.
And last, the tiger cub and the dog. I saw the post on bigcatawareness, also I saw the response from the original poster. First off all, bigcatawareness maybe right saying people who have this cub is exploiting the situation as publicity.
On the other hand, the original poster is pointing the dog’s actions. The dog actually adopted the tiger. And that’s something weird.
I have a beagle, and she barely accepts her own puppies. She automatically rejects any other puppy other than hers. That’s why I reblogged that GIF because the dog’s actions. Yes, it is not recommended to anyone to have a tiger pet. And it would be extremely hazardous, for any person and their pets to have a tiger as a house pet.
The original post point is about the dogs actions: a specie adopting another specie in need. We humans do that a lot.
I think anyone with common sense would understand the dangers of having a big cat as pet.
