I don’t even know if there’s an audience on tumblr for this, but The Furious is actually one of the greatest Hong Kong action movies I’ve ever seen. I don’t think there was ever a break longer than 5 minutes before going into some of the most insane fight choreography. Police Story wishes it could achieve the levels this got to. Also terrible ADR why did they decide to dub over some characters but not others?? Anyways

Hung out with my Cousin Phil and his sweet little old lady Emme last night. 🐶 It’s wild because he’s legit famous in Hong Kong now; towards the end of dinner people asked him for selfies, and our Uber driver, in the middle of the ride, went, “I have to ask you… are you 王九?” (his breakout character in the action movie Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, where he plays the villain) and then when we were getting out asked for a selfie. 😂 And the other day when in line for the MTR the person in front of me was watching an Instagram reel of 王九. Anyway Phil still calls me kiddo even though I’m [redacted] years old. It’s cute. Cousins!
