42. “I swear it was an accident.”
“What the hell happened to you!?” Kiriya exclaimed when Honoka approached him. She looked like she had just had a run in with the Dark King, but if that had happened he would have sensed his king’s power. Honoka offered her friend a small smile, a feeling of guilt washing over her when she saw the concerned look on his face.
“I just messed up on one of my Science experiments. It’s fine!” She assured him. That only made Kiriya more concerned.
“You look like you got caught in a giant explosion!”
“It’s okay, the explosion only caught half the Science lab on fire this time!”
“Honoka-san, what the hell am I going to do with you? It’s hard enough keeping Misumi-san out of trouble!” Kiriya groaned. Honoka couldn’t help but laugh at that, and hearing her laugh actually brought a smile to Kiriya’s face. “You’re gonna get yourself killed one of these days.”
“Oh, and you’re not?” Honoka raised an eyebrow, a playful smile on her face as she gave the male a light shove. “You don’t have your Dusk Zone powers anymore, what were you thinking starting a fight with that soccer player from the high school?”
“That was an accident, I swear!”
“Uh-huh, sure it was.” The PreCure grabbed her friend’s arm and tugged him forward. “Come on, we’ll be late for our next class!”
Kiriya frowned but allowed the female to pull him along. “Yeah, fine, but next time you accidentally cause an explosion you should do it to the whole school so we can skip class.”
