The gods of the Internet have allowed me to return to their favor... for now, at least...
So, yesterday I had this big, long, ponderously meandering post about MLP OC's and how I haven't made one that I like and things about self discovery... Great stuff that I was quite proud of to have spent as much time as I did on it. Then it didn't post. And then all but one of my next five attempts to post anything failed to post. And my drafts disappeared. And then I got a call saying there was a gas leak back at my barracks. Luckily, I was at a bowling alley that had a bar. A drink was had. I walked out after a shot of Wild Turkey.
You'd be surprised how much better the day gets after high proof liquor.
On that guy I just posted:
To be honest, while its the best OC representation of myself I've been able to make, I'm not very happy with it. I would say it was me if Pony came out around 2007 or 2008. But nowadays, my hair is a lot shorter and beard is greatly missed... :(
And oddly enough, I don't think my cutie mark is directly musically related. That's where much of that non posted post was about; why I wasn't happy about deciding on my pony race or cutie mark. But I'm a lot happier when fate intervenes, as is the case here.
Why wouldn't music be the representation of what I am? Because as much as I love music, and as people see me as the quintessential band geek, its not what I am: Its what I do. I do it to the best of my ability, to the maximum my heart will take. I can to that because of what I am: Loyal. Committed. Honorable.
A couple tidbits from organizations to which I belong:
'...fosters Responsibility, Loyalty, and Leadership...'
Honor. Courage. Commitment.
I didn't learn Honor, Courage, and Commitment from the Marine Corps, but those Core Values were part of the reason I went on that journey to Claim the Title.
Now what would the Tag and Crest of Loyalty look like? Anyone think they can help me out?
Enough crossover :P Have a nice day!
