♡ ✞ waiting on Gods timing for us
It’s hard waiting on Gods timing and not doing things with your own will like there’s certain things you want maybe it’s marriage or to get a house or to be successful in your job or etc. We never know what the future holds for us and if our desires will get fulfilled and we can get impatient waiting and we may even compare ourselves to people, especially people who don’t know Jesus and may even wonder why they have the things we desire, and we don’t.
This concept reminds me of Genesis, in Genesis Sarah (Sarai) didn’t have any children with her husband Abraham (Abram) and and Abraham knew God promised them a child however, Sarah didn’t want to wait and she decided to let her husband have a child with her servant Hagar, and when Hagar conceived a child Sarah was upset. They ( Sarah and Abraham) didn’t wait on Gods timing and his promise, when God promised them a child they thought that idea was ridiculous because of their age ,Sarah even laughed, she had no faith in Gods promise to her but, despite them being in old age they did ended up conceiving a child like God promised them.
We have to have faith in Gods promises and trust in his timing, despite our circumstances God makes a way and when we go and do things our way it doesn’t work out how we want it to. We may see others with the same desires we want as well but things outside of Gods wills aren’t blessings and usually don’t last.Maybe right now, you’re in a situation and it may be hard to wait and trust in Gods plan, but God always provides for us. Whatever blessing you’re waiting for, God can have a bigger blessing planned than you ever could imagine. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding.”Proverbs 3:5 KJV
Remember 'The pain you've been feeling can't compare to the joy that is coming. ' - Romans 8:18”
