Why Honoring Your Parents Is Essential for Spiritual Evolution#shorts
One of the most transformative steps in our spiritual growth is honoring our parents. They are our first gurus, our first mirrors, and our first experience of the divine—Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava. And yet, in the world today, when parents are often criticized publicly for their own shortcomings or emotional limitations, we may forget they did what they could with the level of awareness, maturity, and resources they had at that moment. Their own imperfections represent not the unworthiness of one's own self but, instead, invitations into one's own growth, compassion, and karmic understanding. This video looks into the deeper spiritual and karmic meaning of our relationships with our parents: why they are never accidents, why their failures can become our greatest teachers, and why resentment only binds us further. While safeguarding children from true abuse is essential, much of what we label “parental failure” is rooted in our own modern expectations and entitlement. By shifting our lens toward gratitude, karmic wisdom, and spiritual responsibility, we can heal generational wounds and evolve into higher versions of ourselves.
