I can’t wait to see the future progress the team makes with this little lady. She is quite sensitive about having her hooves trimmed. However, she quickly learned to curl her hoof onto a bale of hale to allow touching to the underside of her front hooves. We learned the importance of setting up your environment (antecedent arrangement), so the animal can easily present the action we want so that it can be reinforced. There are some more adjustments we are going to make to our set up here to facilitate Alegra’s success. Despite not having those changes in place just yet, this little horse was sooooo eager to the give behavior. When it was time to leave the barn, she did not want go. We had to positively reinforce taking steps forward to remind her good things can happen elsewhere too. #horsetraining, #hoofcare #hooftrimming #trainingforhoofcare #hoofcurl @furuviksparken @angelicaasberg (at Furuviksparken) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bnb3hpVAsln/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=jrs4kg8kj1mg
