Interesting setup in the bathroom at a college near here. Had to work today and this was how it’s set up. All automated. Pretty smart actualy. Soap… water.. Dryer. As part of this quest to get healthier and in much better shape, one goal was to do a 5K. Today, me and my niece @nicoleashley6 took part in the Phillies Charities 5K. It was cold, but sunny. And I had quite the learning experience. (For one, I didn’t realize how many people walked in a 5K). So, we walked. I’m not ready to be running 3.1 miles, and my niece pledged to go my pace (which is good.. cause as a college soccer player.. she easily could have dusted me). We did a pretty decent pace and finished in 52:44 (we had the same time) .. and that could have been a little quicker, but I stopped to get photos taken with Mickey Morandini and Tommy Greene. We did run the final .10 or .12, which was good. This time gives me something to shoot for next year as I hope we make this a yearly tradition and maybe next year, I’ll be able to run it all. Always good to spend time with my niece as well, so this was fun.
