onbody to offbody hoop transition
My hoop instructor taught this to us on Tuesday night, but I was too busy getting tangled in my hoop to pay attention at the time. The thing is she called it a "Twirly Whirly" and when searching for a tutorial for it under that name, I couldn't for the life of me find one.
Why can't tricks just have one universal name instead of everybody calling it something different. I had the same trouble when it came to Vortex tutorials. Seriously... Twirly Whirly?

Hooping
I'm not sure which tricks would be easiest for me to learn next, so I was wondering if any of the hoopers out there could either answer on this or message me with some ideas. I know how to do isolations, lasso, vortex, chest hoop, shoulder hoop, neck hoop, knee hoop, one knee hoop, elbow hoop (with switching elbows), revolving door, and something similar to revolving door, i just can't remember what it is right now. What would be some good tricks i should learn next?
I love listening to dreamy hooper girls explain new tricks as they're performing the trick at the same time.
just organizing my hooping thoughts
have been slightly more occupied with other things and after breaking my polypro, i feel like i'm slacking a tad on the hooping. i'm still doing it everyday but i just feel sorta sloppy lately, so i'm gonna organize my thoughts. i'm waiting for my new one to get here, i swear i won't break it this time (rolling eyes cause i'm a dumbass). hooping things i can do: - waist hooping - chest hooping with no arms - chest hooping with arms - neck hooping -alternating between hooping with no arms/with arms/on neck, etc. - the vortex - leg/knee hooping -raising the hoop from my knees to my waist using the shimmy method - lifting out of leg hooping, waist hooping, chest hooping into halo/lasso -getting leg out of hoop while on legs into one leg hooping - sustaining one leg hooping for a decent amount of time -basic isolations -forward elbow hooping??? (don't know if that's the name) - the archer (I BROKE MY POLYPRO DOING THIS SHITTT but i can do it. lol) hooping things i have but, they still need work: - the wind up (can do it pretty fast but, it's hard to tell cause you can't really watch yourself doing it and sometimes my hands get twisted) - the kick start (i can get it up a lot but, not every time) - vertical chest hooping in the up and down position with arms out (needs A LOT of work still but i can just barely do it) - the helicopter whilst spinning (right hand needs work on spinning the hoop) - back wards elbow hooping??? (is that even the name???) i'm not sure but, it's the thing that you would use to do a behind the back elbow pass but, i'm not that far yet. just working on getting the elbows down in the backward position. -the escalator -getting my leg back into the hoop from one leg hooping (only on the polypro, i can do it with the bigger, heavier hoop that move a lot slower) -jumping through the hoop hooping things that i want to learn in the near future: -vertical chest hooping with arms in the hoop -isopops/ cateye's - reverse escalator -behind the back elbow pass - getting out of leg hooping using my hands (LOL still can't believe i don't know this) - hooping in the right current (i hoop to my left, this is gonna be a disaster haha) -shoulder stalls -stalls period -hoop duck in's - having a FLOW (really badly need this) -working on my balance and there's a ton of other stuff but, especially need to work on taking my time and not dropping the hoop! haha and holy crap i didn't realize how much i've actually learned in two months, dang!
