One win, one loss
My San Antonio Spurs won last night. Beat the Heat, in more ways than one, and the use count on that pun has to be ridiculously high this morning. Hubby and I were talking about how the European and South American players are more used to playing without air conditioning than the American players, plus the guys who grew up playing 90 minutes of non-stop soccer in any kind of weather are just more accustomed to playing under less than ideal conditions. That gives the San Antonio team with its Foreign Legion coming off the bench quite the advantage. Must not have been too much fun for the fans though.
The Connecticut Sun lost. I don't really care. They used to be my team, but many of my favorite players (Ashja, Kara L, Tina) have left because of the new coach. Looks like the Washington Mystics are going to be the new team I root for. They have a bright future with coach Thibault, plus a lot of players I like. Kara Lawson went there from the Sun (to get away from Anne Donovan), plus they got Stef Dolson and Bria Hartley this year. And I always liked Ivory Latta. So I guess the Mystics will be my new team, along with the Lynx, cuz I stil love Maya, the Invincible Queen.
