This week the #TuesdayTip is going to be tackling fault codes. More specifically how to understand a fault code. This is so you can understand #LarryandJosh when they are talking to you about your vehicle's fault codes.
When you get your vehicle scanned when your check engine light pops on you usually a fault code or list of codes that look something like P0460, B0320, U0212, or C0113. The big difference between all the codes is the prefix. This lets the person going over the fault code what part of the vehicle the codes falls under.
There are some standards when talking fault codes, but that also depends on the manufacturer. As well as some overlapping fault codes between manufacturers.
Next week, Larry and Josh will get technical and break down a code and tell you what each part means. If you have questions about your vehicle's fault codes before then you can always Call (219) 838-7779, Text (219) 237-0522, or stop by #HoosierMuffler
