Darrell Scott Returns to “My Father’s House” for Latest “Sunday” Video

Darrell Scott traveled back in time to 2002 and “My Father’s House” for the latest “It Must be Sunday” video.
It must be Father’s Day, too, making “My Father’s House” a poignant selection for episode 88. It’s even more so given the changes the intervening 24 years have wrought. Scott, now grey, has jet-black hair and beard in this archival video.
Remarkably, his voice hasn’t changed all that much; though the song sure has.
Back then, Scott the young adult reminisced about growing up in the house on which he’s now paying the mortgage and in which his children are growing up. Today, Scott might be the one who moved out west and his son might be raising kids in the house of the grandfather.
Or perhaps it’s all fiction.
Either way, today is Father’s Day. And “My Father’s House” is a fine soundtrack for this day.
