It had seemed that for the time being, Matt Murdock had discovered everything that he could while still Matt Murdock. Which meant the next logical step was putting on his costume (or rather, taking off the suit he had been wearing over his costume) and exploring the woods as Daredevil.
Even if just because a man in a bright red costume climbing a tree was slightly less suspicious than a blind lawyer. Slightly.
It didn’t take long for Matt to realize the flaws in his plan. He wasn’t actually all that proficient in moving from tree to tree in comparison to rooftops. For one thing branches gave out a lot easier than brownstones and he wasn’t used to quite as much leafage.
Despite this he slowly progressed deeper into the woods, opening his senses to the strange and alien noises and smells surrounding him, animals running across the forest floor and branches, bird cries he had never heard before, the rustling of leaves in the wind. The smell of something somewhere blooming and the things left on the forest floor rotting. It was... different from what he was used to, but not unpleasant.
Until he noticed something very familiar not too far away. For someone who had basically grown up in a boxing gym, the sounds and smells of it were pretty unmistakable, even if apparently somewhere in the middle of the woods. Curious, Matt slowly made his way into the direction, slowly decoding the information his senses gave him. One human, seemingly no other lifeforms (or at least none with a heartbeat)... training?
Matt made no effort to hide his approach through the mid-tier branches of the trees. Unless the leaves on the trees were bright red there was no way anybody would manage to overlook him creeping towards anyone and so far nobody he met had been actually looking for a fight.
“Hello?”, he called out cautiously once he had gotten close enough to perceive the man with his radar.
