►Somebody to Die for ; Xoxonyc
David was saddened by how things were left between him and Clark. He handled it poorly, as he always seem to have done. Insults were thrown back and forth, even a punch, but it wasn't Clark.. He never seemed to want to hit back, unlike David. These abilities were taking control, and David wasn't himself. Not like how he was when he was first with Clark. Then again it's always smiles and love in the beginning, but.. David didn't even know what they were. The words 'boyfriend' weren't what David ever used on Clark, not even when introducing Clark to someone.. Not even when talking about him. It was confusing, as he paced his new apartment. Castles and Kingdoms were no longer his thing, and Sofia was long gone. What did this mean? A permanent humanity. The King, was no longer a King, but a civilian. Faking a death once again, but this time to the world. It made it to the papers, the news, and the radio. He wanted no, needed a new start, but with a new start, he needed to speak to a special someone.
The young man got dressed the next morning, hearing more about the 'sad' news that was still going on. David walked around in a jacket, because the weather kept changing. Trees full of leaves, now just looking dead with empty branches. The ground covered in what was once on them. His eyes wandered around, and he just sighed picking up more speed, so he could get there quicker. From the streets to grass, he walked into a park, knowing Clark would probably be on a walk at this time. David's head hung low, staring down at his shoes, moving with them with each step. His mind kept going back to memories, which wasn't the best for him at this time. Mainly because these memories were from when he was with Clark.. The worst possible times he had with him. The fights.. The yelling..
He looked up seeing the familiar spot.. A park bench they had spent time talking, before they had really 'dated'. David took a deep breath, and sat down on it. His gaze lifted at the people passing by him. So many holding hands, not just couples, but families.. But David just frowned knowing that was all Clark and him really did. He wasn't the affectionate type, and he didn't think Clark was he kind to want it. The first sign he ever showed, was when he said the three words that made them know they were together.. But in what way? David certainly didn't know. He wanted to find out, but at the moment they were nothing. No connection was kept. David had been busy faking the tremendous death, to try calling Clark, or writing to him, as he usually did.
Then.. There he was. Hair still long, eyes still drawing, and smile still infectious. David got up, and started walking towards him, but slowly. He needed to think of something to say, because just standing in front of him would do nothing but seem strange. One.. Two.. Three. Stopping, he was directly across from Clark. David's eyes were stuck on his, seeing that he was surprise, but anyone would be, having been years apart.. "Uh, hey," He began, biting his lip nervously as he felt stupid for not planning out what to do once he got there. "Um..It's nice to see you.." He gave a small smile.
