Like Rum On a Fire ch. 2
Happy birthday Lorenz!
In the purple man's honor I wrote a part 2 to a claurenz pirates AU that I've always meant to come back to. 🌹💜💛
birthday kiss, ratiorine
Veritas drags a hand through his hair and shuts the door behind him. Distracting, is what he is. A nuisance, a bothersome—
Aventurine sits in Veritas’ favorite chair, one leg slung loosely over the other. Waiting.
“How did you get in here?” Veritas demands, but he’s already moving toward Aventurine, inexorably drawn like some trite magnet. It annoys him, even as he’s pulling Aventurine up by his shirt, gripped in his fist.
Everything he should be focused on is swept to the side when their lips touch. Veritas is consumed with hunger for the lithe form in his arms. It's dangerous, this loss of focus, but he wants nothing but to let this fire burn.

When you've been floundering around trying to get the story to make sense and be a good balance.
And then you find that. one. song. You weren't even looking for a song, nor did you find it with expectations of it being part of the playlist but it's.. such a banger and it just puts everything together!
Needless to say I'm in a real good flow with the draft 8)
we all (including me) thought this fic was dead, but i've just miraculously resurrected it! enjoy! or don't idk

“Radical feminism is a cult!!!”
If I left radblr tomorrow and became a diehard TRA, none of you would put me on any blocklists. I would not be shunned, my name would not be blackened. Quite the contrary, radfems encourage people to read on all sides of the argument. We understand the importance of academic diversity— that is, exposing oneself to a wide range of opinions— and we interact amicably with people of different positions within feminism. Conversely, TRAs consistently display the Christian-like trait of absolutely refusing to associate with people of slightly different, well, denominations than themselves. Transmedicalists dni! Pansexual exclusionists fuck off! Respect neopronouns or leave GSA!
We don’t use thought-stopping techniques like you do, we encourage thought. If you think about it and you read about it and you say “hmm, I don’t think I’m a radical feminist, at least not at this point in my life,” then go be a different kind of feminist! We’ll still be friends, we can still groove. Imagine doing that as a TRA. “Yeah, I did some reading and I just don’t agree with the tenets of your ideology. I don’t believe in gender, so there’s just no way trans women can be women and vice versa.” You’d get kicked off the damn internet, y’all.
I’m new-ish to radblr. My favorite part is having room to fucking breathe.
