I don’t want to anymore.

I wrote pages on everything I hate about myself, every detail of my personality, my looks, every weakness that I see in myself. I decided that I should try and write pages on why I love myself. I flipped the notebook to a clean, beautifully blank page...and I put the pen down.

I spent last weekend following #ElizabethPovinelli and the #KarrabingFilmCollective as they gave master classes and workshops about their process of #ImprovisationalRealism #filmmaking #entanglements and #coproduction. I realized that #stubbornness, more than #hope , is what we need to challenge the effects of #lateLiberalism and #SettlerColonialism in the #anthropocene. I learned that “it’s not about doing something new, but how to continue something, how to do it again but in a different form” and that we need to “pull it down into the lives that people actually live.” Awesome lady, awesome work being done by Karrabing! #BeStubborn #HopeIsNotEnough (at Tate Modern)
