The horn-faced leafcutter bee (Megachile fidelis). A stretch above the usual black and gray leafcutter females, this species adds in some brilliant yellow banding on her abdomen. Beautiful, but a horrific bee to try and photograph. This image represents hours of attempts in the hot sun. They are fast and skittish and want nothing to do with a camera aimed at them.
