I didn't think Tawan and Aran's relationship would be so horrible, but here we are.
Tawan really gave his all to destroy every chance he had to be loved by Aran. While I'm lowkey annoyed by him since he first showed up, the levels of toxicity were off the charts. It's the fact I first thought of Tawan as a type of mirror to Mr. Thee, because of the jealousy, just to realize Tawan isn't jealous from a place of insecurity like Thee is. It was made very clear he doesn't trust Aran, he doesn't even try to consider his lover's feeling in ANY moment. The violent threats to Peach, physical harm, dismissing of Aran's brotherly relationship with Peach, literal cheating accusations. Most of times, Thee can seem similar to that, but he does what he does while acknowledging that jealousy is unreasonable, he even said it himself. That's why he mostly keeps it to himself, and says things just to feed into his wannabe mafia persona.
I'll never see Aran and Tawan's relationship as positive, because it shows Tawan doesn't do anything to improve the parts of himself that actively hurt the one he 'loves'. Aran deserves better. He deserves someone that tries for him, their relationship, and himself. Not to change so that the romantic relationship can continue, but to do so while improving as a human being. Questioning their morals and world views, it's just the basic things we do when we love someone in a healthy way. Tawan is definitely not the best version of himself when he's with Aran, and I can say the same for Aran. He's drained, stressed, generally unhappy. No attraction they feel still, sympathy Aran has for him or anything beyond about their characters can convince me this relationship is a good thing for anyone, in any way.
