getting the dragon communion seal SUUUUUUCKS
Lestat is HORRENDOUS and that’s kind of the point of him and it doesn’t mean that Louis and Claudia aren’t their own kinda monsters but y’all have gotta stop babydollifying him
You can love him and admit he’s vile
Me working directly with people: i bet gross old men won’t hit on me when I start working over the phone
Me after today: I stand corrected

Going back home wasn’t something she really liked, but alas, Iris felt like she needed to go, see her aunt and uncle for the holidays and actually get away from the castle. She loved it, but lately it’d been getting too much. She’d expected fighting between her and her mother, but what she didn’t expect was finding her aunt, with tears in her eyes, out on the front porch, with Iris’ things all packed up. She explained that her mother was in the house and that she’d been unstable ever since her boyfriend had left her — Iris of course couldn’t care less, but she knew that if something happened to her mother while she was in her aunt’s house, her aunt would be in deep trouble. She didn’t want that and instead of arguing and trying to stay, Iris grabbed her bag and returned to the castle, grumpy, but relieved at the same time.
After shrinking down her belongings and finding them a safe place in her trunk, she made her way down to the courtyard, taking a seat on one of the benches and setting her book on her lap, enjoying the quiet silence that surrounded her, but also feeling a slight tinge of pain — why couldn’t she go home like everyone else? Why did her mother have to be a colossal bitch? With a small huff, the red-head rested her chin on her hand, looking down at the book and beginning to read, trying to get the thoughts out of her head. As she sat alone, she remembered that the one person she was sure would’ve stayed in Hogwarts during the holidays, was Elliot, but where would she find him? Iris knew it would still be slightly awkward, but he was her best friend, and if he was at the school, then she would keep him company. Iris snapped her book shut and went back inside the castle, going up to the Ravenclaw common room and answering the riddle the eagle knocker posed with ease, before stepping inside. “Eli? You here?”
