“real funny,” her message had said HELP. not, disco. @horroticas
so here’s the thing. he’s not actively avoiding her. he just thought he’d made sure to leave babs clinic before diosa should be there, and ignored her call. which, when did she put her number in his phone? but. it’s vegas. there’s no luck left in these streets. much less on his side when it’s diosa he’s not not avoiding. “funny, see i was just gon’ call you back.”
at least she didn’t slice his tires. yet. @horroticas
“did you invite me, to watch you, interrogate somebody?” @horroticas
@horroticas liked x.
“ not gonna lie -- i thought you were k’oed. “
‘ what’s your name again? ‘ from diosa
She blinks once, twice. There’s a reason real doctors have licenses, medical school. Babs hasn’t really studied the art since, oh, what? Two centuries ago? No matter - “How many fingers am I holdin’ up, baby?”
So you shouldn’t experiment on your friends. Or frenemies. Whatever they are. And, anyway, had Diosa been anything but [UNINTELLIGIBLE SCREECHING SOUND] she probably would have exploded. A little memory loss won’t kill anyone. She’s all rows of teeth and eyes now anyway. “I can fix it, probably.”
Let’s say it’s been an eternity since you’ve seen each other. Let’s say you actually missed each other, because you were a little family, weren’t you? Before. However long ago it was.
Vegas has always treated Babette right. Always treats everyone right, gives them exactly what they deserve. Babette has a trashed hotel room and poison vines growing up her legs. D o those even grow in Vegas? The point is: She’s piss drunk, in a good mood, and it’s not a coincidence you’ve found each other again. Your little family is running wild around these parts. Babette throws an arm around your neck, but you probably knew she was there. “I know there’s a party when Diosa’s in town.” She smells like dark liquor and dirt. But that’s nothing new.
