They also threw Itachi under the bus for doing literally exactly what they should have done. Konoha is morally bankrupt. In the hands of a good writer this would have been intentional, but I think this feels like an accident.

I feel like it would’ve been sooo interesting if they addressed the garbage leadership more and did something to change it because it’s horrible. And then having Sakumo apologize to Kakashi just made me sad, because if I’m not remembering if they addressed how garbage the village was for treating him like that.
