Last year NAOE-sensei drew strips on Hotaru giving Valentine’s Day chocolates to Toy Gun Gun, so this year it is a Hoshishiro special!

Midori is probably playing with Hotaru again because he saw how normal it is with Fujimon LOL

*Honmei chocolate = the chocolate you give to the person you like. All the other chocolates to friends and family are giri chocolate~

What kind of music do you think the Toy☆GunGun and Hoshishiro members would listen to? (I hope this isn't too much! My apologies if it is. 😅)

Toy☆GunGun

Matsuoka

He strikes me as the sort of person who listens to ‘mainstream’ music. So the usual stuff you here on popular radio stations. He probably doesn’t really steer away from pop because he just likes the nice vibes he gets from listening to pop (technically it is also very convenient when he’s in the car with the radio on). Matsuoka really just likes peppier and loud, life-loving music. He’s honestly horrified of metal music, so sometimes he’ll hear what Yukimura is listening too and jumps a little. 

Yukimura

I think Yukki listens to probably metal music a lot but he also listens to pop as well. It really depends on his mood but he’s the sort of person who seems to just stare off into space while in reality he’s listening to some form of really hardcore metal. On the other hand pop seems to help him concentrate more when he’s working on his manga so it’s on full blast when he’s working the night before a deadline. Music he can’t stand is classical music, not because of the music itself, just because a certain someone always mentioned it when they used to hang out. 

Hotaru

Honestly despite how young she is, Hotaru is really into throwback music, like really oldies music, even she doesn’t really understand why that is but she loves to listen to oldies songs and really gets a mouthful from people at school and even her mom (Mama Tachibana is probably into more modern music and questions her baby). Like Matsuoka, Hotaru probably likes more peppy music because the upbeat sounds keeps her in a good mood throughout the day. On the other hand sad music makes her really upset so she strays away from it. 

Haruki

Haruki strikes me as the sort of person who enjoys listening to a lot of different hip-hop music. Mellow rap for the most part, because it’s cool to him, honestly he used to not even like it but he just thought it was cool sounding and eventually it actually grew on him (it’s almost all he listens to now). He feels that that sort of music is just really nostalgic and raw so he enjoys it while in return he really dislikes a lot of pop. Sometimes he listens to EDM though! That’s only when he’s in a particular mood of course! He can’t stand country music on the other hand! 

Hoshishiro

Midori

Everyone who knows Midori well (save for Ichi and Fujimoto) calls Midori an old man for his taste in music. Honestly he loves classical music a lot. He tends to not pay attention to lyrics a lot because he’s always so preoccupied with other things that the lyrics go over his head anyway, so he likes classical music because it doesn’t need lyrics to emphasize a certain mood to him, plus there’s all types of classical music too! Also classical is convenient because he can’t seem to switch his radio to play any other station other than the classical music station

Fujimoto

Fujimoto sort of drifts everywhere with music. If you saw the type of music that’s on his phone you could never really distinguish what particular type of music he’s into. He has so many mixed genres it’s insane. A lot of this is because Fujimoto really takes recommendations to heart. He’s open to listening to any type of music really and that’s why he seems to be all over the place, to say he has a favorite genre would be lying. He’s happy to listen to anything new! 

Ichi

Ichi is actually really into punk rock music, but she also has a soft spot for acoustic blues. She’s a bit of a cute romantic but also likes harsh lyrics. Something about these two genres makes he feel very calm, that being said she’s a bit like Fujimoto and every so often experiments. When Midori recommended classical music, Ichi really tried to get into it, but honestly, she just couldn’t, so sometimes she just smiles when Midori asks if she enjoyed the song he linked her to the other day. 

Haruka

Haruka listens to things he hears his brother listen to in passing (Haruki will mention a song he liked and Haruka always makes a mental note of it). He does this because he feels it might help him get to know his big brother even a little better. But for his own type of music, Haruka really likes indie music. Indie rock and Indie pop are both favorite genres of his. He doesn’t like straying away a lot from these genres unless it’s something Haruki listens to but sometimes Fujimoto can convince him to hear something else.

On this day, oni (Japanese bad spirits - there are different colours symbolizing different bad personalities but the most common one is red) visit the houses and people will throw raw beans at them to chase them away.  After that, people will eat a number of roasted beans equal to their age.

I did this in my Japanese school too~~ (But I am obviously eating a lot more than my age LOL)
