Sheās been searching for hours for anyone that would speak to her, someone that could pull themselves out of their own confusion to reach out back to her. Of course, Red canāt blame a single person on this island for being as scared as they looked; she was just as frightened, just as confused as the rest of them.
But she had to do something. She wasnāt supposed to be here, none of them were-- wasnāt there some way they could get out of this?
āHey!ā
Her hand is already grasping the strangerās shoulder by the time sheās called out to him-- literally reaching for the first person she could see. Itās not an action sheād normally take, but Redās emotions seemed to be controlling every part of her at this point. She was away from Cloudbank, away from Auden, and she needed to know why.
āDo you know whatās going on here? Or did you..ā she trails off suddenly, her voice softening considerably.Ā āOr did you wake up here this morning, too?ā

Itās probably more than a little unusual for someone to drag the guy they murdered once out to C*stco to look at chocolates for Valentineās Day. Especially because said former murder victim has been very insistent about the fact he doesnāt eat. Not that any of thatās going to stop Date.Ā
āLook, I just donāt want to go alone. I know itās tradition for girls to get guys chocolate on Valentineās Day or whatever, but--ā
Like hell Mizuki was going to give him chocolate. And Aiba probably didnāt even know the tradition existed.Ā
āMy dau...er, Mizuki--my roommate. I feel bad that sheās been on her own while I was busy with the New Cyclops Serial Killings. Since sheās here now, I figured I might as well get her chocolate as an apology gift.āĀ
He does know what chocolate Mizuki likes, but itās the moral support he needs. Thereās a lot of weird heart shaped gifts on the shelves, including what appears to be perfume and incense. A couple of teens are messing around with one display bottle nearby, and Date catches a very strong whiff of something overpoweringly floral as one of them sprays it directly in his face.
āAugh...does the not having to eat thing extend to not having to smell, too?ā

Sissel is gone from the island. His contact has disappeared from the contact masterlist. Why an illiterate cat was even handed a cellphone to begin with is beyond Battlerās comprehension, but at least it allowed him to track stuff like the comings and goings of outsider citizens in Spirale.
All this time, the words the cat shared with him at their meeting have not escaped his head. Those dark reveals about Yomiel... and Sisselās desperate desire to rescue his best friend, as he once did back in his home world. And Battler can imagine that Yomiel wasnāt unaware of such a desire.
He sighs. After that conversation, Battler purposefully avoided contacting Yomiel for a while. He was given a gigantic task to accomplish, and he wanted to make sure that his mental state and arguments were sharpened before approaching the guy regarding this. Rushing in into this stuff with a preconceived understanding of things was a bad habit of his in the past, and one he occasionally slips back into. He didnāt want to risk having it happen here. But with Sissel gone now... he canāt afford to wait anymore.
For as hard as the situation between Yomiel and the two girls that he has a vendetta with is, there is one advantage Battler has in terms solving things peacefully: Yomiel trusts him deeply. Above everything else, Battler canāt let that trust be broken. Otherwise, who knows what will be of the undead man.
Yomiel would hear his phone ring. Once he answers the call, heād hear Battlerās voice from the other side.
āHi, Yomiel. This is Battler speaking. ...Itās been a while since we chatted, no? Iāve felt like catching up on stuff. What do you say we go out together somewhere? Maybe the beach?ā

Yomiel: Now, can I trust you to be good and behave while Iām gone? Kay: Probably not. Yomiel: Thatās my girl.
Yomiel: You have everything you need to defeat them. Kay: The power to believe in myself? Yomiel: No, a knife. Yomiel: Stab them.
Yomiel: And what do you want to be when you grow up? Kay: A scary mermaid who lures sailors to their deaths! Yomiel: You are the perfect child. Iām so proud of you.

Bang, bang, bang...Ā
That was the only noise that her ears wanted to focus on, her hands coming into contact again and again with the surrounding glass. Of course, trying to crash her way out of a reinforced glass cage was easier said than done. But she had been here for a while and she was beginning to feel like the walls were closing in! She needed out of here! It also didnāt help that there was some sort of alarm going off as well... the movements the fortress was making could be felt even from the cage she found herself trapped in.
Was no one else here? Surely there had to be someone! The Professor wouldnāt leave her here like this! ...Right?
ā Help! Someone get me out of here! ...Donāt leave me!! ā Hearing her shaky voice echo back at her was unsettling, given the circumstances. Yet somehow it made her hands collide with all their might against the glass again, her previously depleted strength having gone back up for the time being. Maybe someone would hear her, and let her out of this dreadful imprisonment.Ā ā Celeste? Luke? Professor?! Clive?!Ā ā It was obvious she was becoming desperate, she was calling out every name that she could remember off of the top of her head. Itād be a miracle if any of them were heard over the alarm.
After a couple of seconds of the alarm giving the only answer to her pleas, her once panicked face turned into one of complete sadness.
ā ...Anyone? Is anyone still there? ā Heavy breathing was another noise her ears picked up on, and it only seemed to contribute to the tears beginning to well up in her eyes now. Finally, her hands drooped back down to her sides, stepping away from the glass to sit down in the middle of her captivity. There was no saving her. If those alarms meant anything, it was that something bad was going to happen. And she was going to be in here when it did.
Soon, the alarm started to get too loud, too familiar. Knees brought themselves up close, arms wrapping themselves around them as she curled up, doing everything possible to block out the sound. Slowly rocking herself back and forth to try and soothe herself, quiet sobs began to make their way out of her mouth. The tower suddenly felt a lot more safer than anywhere else did... home felt safer to her... London was scary, the people were scary, everything that was happening was just too scary! She didnāt want to be here anymore! Even if she did get out of here, how was she going to get past all of this? All of the doubt that no one truly cares about her?!
The alarm and everything else just needed to stop!
...
Oh... itās quiet now... and dark. Cold, too. Is this what peace is supposed to feel like? It was like being asleep in a room far too cold for one to do so peacefully. She felt... uncertain. Like something was wrong, or something had been left unfinished. But what could she do now? No matter how hard she tried, not even a glimpse of light could reach her eyes. Not even a single sound; her own breath couldnāt be heard anymore. ...Was this death? What had even happened to her? What did she look like now? Was she unrecognisable, or just not there at all? So many questions flooded her mind, but she didnāt have the ability to think about them anymore. Only one thought passed through her brain that she recognised as such now, before becoming something other than a living being.
...Please donāt leave me alone...

āNo, itās not about the candy! Itās about the smooches! See, look at this!ā She holds up her notebook, and the open page reveals only four tally marks.
āYou see that? Four! Thatās barely anything! Even back in the Academy I could rock an easy twenty, and a lot of those people didnāt like me!ā
