Anyone else renting out their backyard for private events? Made more than I expected Wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone here looking for ways to get more out of their property. I listed my backyard on Lucky Backyards a few months ago. The platform lets homeowners rent their outdoor space — backyard, patio, garden — to people looking for private venues for parties and events. First booking was a birthday party for about 15 people. They used the space for 4 hours, left it clean, and I made $160. Since then I've had a few more bookings — graduation party, a small anniversary dinner, a photoshoot. Total earned in the first month: just over $400 from 3 bookings. I was home the whole time — just let them in, they had the backyard, I stayed inside. For anyone interested: Free to list at luckybackyards.com They're currently offering $25 cash (CashApp/Venmo/PayPal) just for signing up as a new host You set your own rules — no alcohol, no loud music after 9pm, whatever you want You control who books through the approval system It's not for everyone but if you have decent outdoor space sitting unused on weekends, worth looking into.
