I've gone to shows every day of the week this week, but I have really nothing to say about them.  The only band I really enjoyed out of the bands I saw was Hot Rash (and my "favorite saint paul punk band" Cool Dog who I saw twice).  I feel like there is some risk in writing about shows you (I) don't particularly care about because there is definitely a possibility of alienating or offending the people and friends of these bands.  For example, most of the bands I saw were of your typical "garage rock" variety that seems ever popular these days but...  They're not interesting, they're not unique, and most are not talented.  They are fun to see live, and usually the band people are cool, but really...  Outside of a live context its usually really uninteresting.  So, when I sit back and have to comment on the music, whatever I say will come off as negative.  At least, it's usually assumed it is. Even if it doesn't bother these bands or their friends, I will still be seen as "the guy that doesn't think they are that great."  That sucks.  There's nothing wrong with being somewhat unoriginal, or completely unoriginal, or playing just to have fun and not caring about that sort of thing, but for me to comment on the music from my perspective- do I have to provide that disclaimer every time?  What should I do?  I don't know.  Seems like a lose lose situation. With that said, for now, I will just not write about these shows unless something particularly notable happens. Thanks
