Armored Lady Monday

i have been bit by the uma musume bug, been playing it and watching it so much, and one thing that really intrigued me was in cinderella gray, the whole plot being about horse girls that are not from the MAIN academy and graded races, i am fascinated by the extra details they add to the anime.

i wanted to draw one for an armored lady monday for funsies but i just couldnt think on what to do with one

and then i saw this tweet the other day https://x.com/dwrf_artifex/status/1948897564117615091 and everything fell into place so perfectly so i had my drawing for today set in my mind!

i went to my very first TF Nation this year and had a blast, but the highlight was definitely the commissions i got! these are my OCs, Joust (glasses) and Gimbal <333

wanted to shout out this one in particular drawn by @herzspalter, and coloured by @wordmongerer. you both did such a beautiful job with it! i couldn't be happier with how it turned out

i said this to you in person but i wanted to say it again: it was so special to get to meet you and commission you. i joined this fandom in 2014, which is also when i started following you (although today i realised i'd accidentally unfollowed you at some point 😭).

at the risk of making you crumble to dust, i'll say that i grew up with your art and looked up to you. i always thought you were legendary in the fandom, and i still do. i hope you know that your work has brought so much joy to so many.

even though i moved on from TF for a while, i'm really happy to see you're still here and still drawing. and i'm so glad i could get this incredible art from you, of my silly characters that mean so much to me. i know my teen self would've been ecstatic about the idea (even if he would never have believed it was possible).

all this to say, it was really cool meeting you in person and thank you again!!

Heated Chivalry

Working on a piece that came to me when I realized the book I read before heated rivalry was The Scottish Boy and I adored that too. The idea here is that Hollander and Rozanov are jousting tourney knights that keep meeting on the season's circuit and welp, they bone and then fall in love, retiring to a cottage in the country with their prize money.

The plan is to have their livery and banners be medieval variations of their hockey teams, and I think it'll be a cute one if I can do it right <3
