Day / 43
Hot weiners
Pretty good weiners in my athol
Omg today was such an amazing day with my family. It took us forever to find each other but I am soooo extremely grateful for this man to be in our lives.
Summer Vibes
New York System wieners, in spite of what the name implies, originated in Rhode Island. The name was a marketing gimmick in the 1940s, when hot dogs in general were closely associated in the minds of the public with Coney Island. The New York System wiener grew out of Rhode Island’s Greek community, and today it is still served at many restaurants across the state.
Also called ‘hot wieners’, the New York System wiener starts with a small veal and pork dog in a steamed bun, and topped with celery salt, yellow mustard, chopped onions, and a seasoned meat sauce.
Several local establishments claim to be the originator of the New York System, but no one has been able to substantiate the claim.
