You know why they'rememories and she's in vivid color before your very eyes, and you can reach outand touch her and she would let you, even though you sometimes convinceyourself that she won't. You repress because the memories taint the good inyou, and remind you of the dark place you were in. You don't want to return.You hated that place. And you know there's no forgetting the past but it's niceto try, especially when the present is so nice and so worth living. You'velearned to love yourself. She makes you happy.
