I am not a fan of the management games, mainly because there is generally so much to manage that my brain bug quickly and abandoned, but I had to test the Hotel Galactic demo! I owed it, it is just too cute !!! 💕

As usual I was quickly overwhelm by the mass of things to manage, yes even in a demo, but I was still able to appreciate its unique atmosphere, fun and cozy. ✨

We are quickly plunging into this adorable and buzing universe, it enjoy it a lot.

And of course, I am absolutely a fan of the food. 🤗 If I put myself in this game when it's out, it will be because of that, I really liked the possibility of composing the menus, starter, dish, dessert, with such awesome design!

I've Been Looking Forward to This!

It may seem a bit contradictory with the other series of posts I've been doing, but Wholesome Direct is the thing I look forward to the most each Summer Games Fest. They've got their own website so I've linked that in the pic.

This game I've actually been pretty wary of. Which looks really mean now, but I promise I'm not just being a jerk. This really has been set up in my internet niche to be an indie darling. I feel like I see ads for it all the time. Both as their own thing, but also creators that I follow talking about it. And any time I see "inspired by studio Ghibli," I get a little nervous. Because like. Come on, man, who isn't? Give me something meaningful.

But these rooms look really cute and fun to set up, I'm not going to lie. I'm a huge fan of games like Animal Crossing, the Sims, Fallout 4. Anything where I can make myself a cozy little home and decorate it, I am all down. And this looks to be scratching that itch perfectly.

This little side view is so endearing. Look at those little guys, accomplishing tasks. It's kind of giving Luigi's mansion which scares me because that game is about ghosts which are scary. But I'm hype.

Here's another game I'm torn on, but this time for totally different reasons.

The early pandemic was awful. It took my dad, my grandpa, because of my allergies it almost took me too. It was a horrendous time that I still have nightmares about. So the idea of playing a game so firmly rooted in that time, it scares me, I'm not gonna lie.

But these cute gameplay moments do make me reconsider. These adorable characters living their lives and getting through. Idk, might be a nice little nudge in the direction of getting me through. Like I hold no delusions this would fix my deep seated trauma. But if it helps and also I have a good time along the way? Why not try?

This is the theme of today. Just games I have very complicated feelings on for no good reason. This is a farming sim game. Why would I have opinions about that?

Like this looks mechanically so standard. You move to a place. You clean it up. You plant plants. I guess that's just how farming sims work , isn't it? Idk, the mechanics don't seem anything special to me. And the art style is this weird mix of old and new school. When I try to pick it apart to write about it, I can't come up with any one thing that makes it look interesting to me. And yet. Here I am. Wanting to play.

A simulation game inspired by Studio Ghibli films, the goal is to build a nice place for tourists with the help of a small team of characters. The trailer makes it seem like the game will be similar to Spiritfarer. But based on the gameplay seen on the stream, where there was nothing but running characters with resources for construction, as well as cooking, in which the player does not really participate, the hope fades that the game will not be similar to mobile games, like the well-known Cats & Soup.

The realism of the graphics, coupled with the vast locations and mythical creatures that are unusual for us, attract attention. There is a feeling that the game will seem boring to many, especially considering the game's tags. Despite the release in 2025, there is not much time left, so it is worth focusing on advertising and hoping that the game will not have stuffy moments, because in combination with dim, foggy locations, this can ruin the game at its beginning.

A challenging sleight of hand game with a beautiful trailer in the style of the Hollow Knight games. Saturated colors and location details hold attention, and their diversity allows you to look at each location for a very long time. Painfully bright colors are not used, which makes the game pleasing to the eye and interesting in the dynamics of the main character's movements.
