Love is in the air !!

The party planning committee is at it again with some festivities for Aphrodite’s favourite holiday. This Valentine’s day, get a little dressed up for this semi-formal dance and carnival experience !! The dress code is that there must be red, white, or pink in your outfit. The grounds will be taken over by carnival booths so you and your valentine can win prizes for each other. There will be themed baked goods, a chocolate fountain, strawberry sparkling punch, and more !! Campers will be setting up booths for games including a kissing booth, a darts game where you can win an adorable teddy bear, and a love calculator machine so you can test your compatibility. Celina Larose’s Larose-o-grams will also be distributed, so if you’d like to send a rose to your valentine, anonymously or not, please send your request to @ofxstories before the end of the festivities (OOC event end date).

Last but CERTAINLY not least, there will be a best dressed dates contest !! Winners will be voted by fellow campers.

OOC info:

The event will take place from Sunday, February 10th (3pm est) to Saturday, February 16th (9pm est) but IC this will all happen on February 14th.

If you would like your character and their date(s) to be included in the best dressed dates contest, please post your outfits and send links to the main by February 13th. A poll will be set up afterwards and winners will be announced on the last day of the event (the 16th).

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !!

Just because the camp is weather-controlled, doesn’t mean our campers can’t get into the seasonal spirit! The party planning committee is proud to announce this year’s winter ball! A formal event, prepare to be enchanted with beautiful snowy decorations and a light snowfall courtesy of the Khione cabin. Fill up on delicious food and hot chocolate served in the mess hall, dance the night away to music brought to you by DJ Golden (Apollo cabin NPC) in the arena, and try your luck on the grounds between the two at different winter-themed activities! (Ever tried target practise with a snowball?) The ball will be the evening of December 9th, and the dress code is formal so put on your best look and have fun!

the event will take place December 9th (3pm est) to December 16th (9pm est) but in the rp it will last only one night.

outfits can be posted as of December 8th!

Do you have what it takes?

As Chiron has mentioned in the HC meeting last month, there are demigods out there who need your help. Five demigods were reported to be stuck in the Lotus Casino, the notorious place that does everything to make demigods never want to leave. Filled with monsters and temptations, it will take a special kind of camper to go on this quest and make it back safely, or at all.

Thank you to all the volunteers, seven of you have been chosen to go on this mission. Once you all arrive at the casino, it will be best to split up in teams to find and retrieve the lost demigods. You must get this mission done as quickly as possible, time passes differently when inside and every extra minute is just a moment closer to becoming trapped. And remember, no matter how much you want to, don’t eat the lotus blossoms !!

Your missions begins February 28th, be ready. Volunteers, you will receive messages regarding further details.

OOC info:

this event will last Feb 28 starting at 4pm est and last until March 7th at 9pm est  

non-event threads will continue for campers not going on the quest, and they are welcome to include the fact that their friends and family are away on a dangerous mission.

threads will begin as of when the campers all arrive to the casino and split off into their teams, which will be sent to you through your asks (please make sure they are open).

plot drops that happen to your team will also be sent by ask so please make sure to check for them.

threads can occur during the quest between campers on the quest who aren’t on the same team, just please make sure they don’t interfere with the timeline of your team’s plot drop.

Welcome, campers, to the first event of 2019 !!

The party planning committee might have taken over the month of December, but now it’s the welcoming committee’s turn with a scavenger hunt !! All campers will be randomly put into pairs and given a task which they must complete and return to camp in order to win. But pack well, campers, because you’ll be going outside of camp for this and who knows what dangers you might come across !!  We're not sure if someone angered a child of Khione during this or not, but halfway through the day a winter storm comes blazing in. Will your team make it back in time?

OOC info:

This event will start Saturday, January 5th and last until Sunday, January 13th. IC it all happens over a day.

Through your asks and submit boxes, you will receive the name of your character’s partner and the task they must complete. You will also receive details for any obstacles they might encounter, as well as the outcome of their adventure. 

As long as the details we give you are met, anything can happen! Be creative and plot with your partner to make it a fun experience! 

We ask that you prioritize event threads during this time so we can get the most out of this event.

Give a little holiday cheer !!

This year, the camp is organizing a secret santa !! The welcoming committee has put together this little game as a way for new campers and old to get to know each other a little better. Everyone will be given a name of a camper they will be SECRETLY getting/making a gift for, so once you know, get your sleuthing skills out to learn what your camper likes !! Make sure to give them your gift between Dec 23-30th !! No need to go overboard either, it’s always the thought that counts and a little something goes a long way.

everyone will be sent the names of the camper their character has picked from a hat through their submit box, so please make sure it’s open !! 

gifts will be given IC between Dec 23-30th through everyone’s submit box, so please keep them open !! 

gifts can be in the form of a picture of the item sent through submit, or a description if there’s no pictures that fit !! Add a note saying it’s from their secret santa, then you can choose whether or not your character reveals themselves in a thread on the dash !!

Most surprising ball dates?

Mark and Elle, honestly Elle could do so much better than a guy who seems to be flirting with her best friend, and it makes me wonder why she just didn’t fly solo? I’m sure she would’ve had more fun. Ares’s daughter and Hermes’ son is quite interesting, who would’ve thought that Elise would actually say yes when Jace asked her. I thought she wouldn’t even attend in the first place. I know that they’re ‘dating’ and everything, but Travis and Aquamarine. I was kinda rooting for him to ask Katie, I mean he seems to always be hovering by the punch bowl instead of paying attention to his own date. Aquamarine, honey why don’t you just ditch your date and find someone else to have fun with? Connor and Serenity seemed to come out of left field, I mean isn’t he lusting after Elle or something? He seems to be seeking her out late at night often enough that it caught my eye. Serenity I think you’ll have a better time with someone else who would rather be at the dance with a different girl.

Everyone looks oh so pretty for the winter ball, it seems even the most rowdy of the campers can clean up nice. I do wonder however if people will be going back to their cabins with who they came with, or will they be going with someone else. Maybe new relationships will form, while others fall apart. Either way it just means more drama for us, and who better than us to share that drama? Have fun at the ball, and remember our eyes and ears are always open for the latest gossip and scandals.
