They discuss the issue of a Nara being a Kazakage in the Gaara novel(its the same one where Temari is getting ready to marry Shika). Basically the village elders fear someone born in the leaf becoming the sands leader and tried to force Gaara into marriage because of this. I haven’t read that one, so I’m not sure if/how the issue is resolved.
yup!! i don’t think anything was done about it in the novel, so i wonder if the title of kazekage will be passed onto shinki, unless gaara has spoken up about it since then. i was thinking though that the villagers and village elders might be against shinki being kazekage since he’s not blood related, but the kazekage clan hasn’t even been explored outside of the novel so who knows, that might not even matter (or they’re not as strict as i’m thinking they are lmao). hopefully they’ll clear that up in some way!
