Twelve above, why had he thought that this was a good idea?

It had been several years since the atrocities of Haukke Manor had been brought to an end by Morganaux’s own hand, and yet for some reason, he had thought this to be the perfect place to scavenge for reading material on the voidal arts. Of course, after everything that happened, the Wood Wailers would have scoured every ilm of the place for anything useful and disposed of it long ago, and more than likely, there was nothing of interest for him here. 

If only he had made this sudden realization before he had gone through the trouble of sneaking his way into the manor’s basements.

But it was too early for him to lose hope. He hadn’t even begun to look around yet, and now that he was here, he might as well try to find what he was looking for. Carbuncle and faerie illuminating the path before him, he stepped forth into the Yellow Hall where Lady Amandine’s gravest of sins had been committed, appearing entirely unperturbed as he began his search of the place.

Or, at least he tried to begin his search. Not even a few minutes had passed when he heard a man’s gentle voice calling out to him, worried for his safety. Morganaux knew he had little talent when it came to matters of stealth, but for him to be caught so quickly? Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

Fighting back the urge to curse, the Duskwight started toward the room’s exit, a nervous smile upon his lips as his mind struggled to piece together a passable excuse for his little act of trespassing.

“There’s no need to be worried for my safety, sir,” his voice called out, laying it on thick with his High House accent in hopes it would help get him out of trouble. “I was merely... Entranced by the state of the manor’s gardens and thought I would have a look at the rest of the place while I was here!”

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect their partner? How would they like to be protected?)

It’s a balancing act because Saahe is protective, but at the same time I highly doubt he’d ever be with anyone that actively needed protecting of some kind. Sidurgu certainly doesn’t, and Saahe doesn’t want to insult him by acting otherwise—and really, just doesn’t worry about Sidurgu overmuch as a whole, because he trusts him to be perfectly capable of looking after himself. Physically, yes, but also in other ways. Not to mention they’re both well into adulthood even if Saahe’s the more mature of them, so he’s just not going to start coddling Sidurgu just because he gets sometimes tossed into social situations and the like that he wasn’t sure how to handle. Unless it threatens to go well off the rails, he’s asked to intervene by someone he sees in a fit position to make such a request (so, Sidurgu himself or someone whose judgment Saahe otherwise trusts), or he’s rudely pulled into it against his will, he’ll remain an observer. He’s not overprotective. But he still prefers to see his loved ones stay out of harm’s way, so if any situation is or gets physical, he’ll at least share the damage if he doesn’t outright take all of it. And of course delivers some right pain in return because you stepped way out of line the moment you got aggressive with his partner, family, or close friends. He’ll also step in if someone wasn’t standing up for themselves well enough. Again something he rarely needs to worry about with Sidurgu, but yeah just don’t expect to have any easy goes at him without having Saahe on your case, and in general having him on your case tends to hurt a bit. As for how Saahe himself would like to be protected... Well, he wouldn’t want to be with anyone who didn’t stand up for him if for some reason he couldn’t do so himself, but that tends to involve him being in a pretty bad shape. As a whole he’s just not a person who’d need a lot of protecting, either physically or emotionally. He doesn’t have many moments of ‘weakness’ or vulnerability. But if he does need it, be the reason whatever, he would like to be able to trust that his partner had his back.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

In public? Not at all. The most he’ll do is sit next to his partner, maybe let their thighs touch, and even that’s pushing it. It’s not because he’d be shy about it, he’s just so intensely private that he doesn’t want anyone to know shit. It’s his business, not yours, stay the fuck out of it. In private, though? He swings pretty hard in the other direction. He’ll bump his forehead to yours, give a brushing touch in passing, a brief embrace when you’re standing still. He doesn’t speak many words of affection, but his actions tend to speak for themselves when he brings your breakfast to bed ‘cause he got up first and had the time to do it or prepared you a hot drink to wake you or warm you or just because you looked like you could use it.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

From family and in private, yes. He doesn’t initiate them without reason, but he doesn’t need a lot of reason. His hugs tend to be just... Warm, in a word. Tight, but not in the way to squeeze the air from your lungs, pulls you close, lingers just a bit, brings you in full contact. He doesn’t do meaningless hugs, it always comes from the heart for him.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Oof. Probably very directly and with no emotion, because he had to shut himself down to even do it. Saahe takes his relationships seriously enough that the one he has now is the only one he’s ever had, so he’s never needed to break up with anyone before and wouldn’t do so now either unless the other person just entirely stopped trying and left him with no other choice. But yeah, he... Wouldn’t take it well. At all. It wouldn’t matter that his partner hadn’t died, he would’ve still lost them all the same, and that would take such an intense toll on him that I’m not sure he’d ever bounce back from it.
