Hi everyone, I’m finally back and today i’m going to talk about an amazing masterpiece by Stevie Wonder. In my opinion “Hotter than July” is one of Stevie Wonder’s best works along with Talking Book, Innervisions and Songs in the Key of Life. I particularly loved this album for its great variety of sounds, instruments and rhythms, (it’s so innovative). Infact in this masterpiece we can listen to one of his most beautiful slow ballad such as “ Lately” (i suggest you all to listen to this song) in which Stevie proofs us one more time his brilliance in playing instruments. In this song he plays the piano, the bass and he gives us some beautiful vocals. In this album we can also listen to songs with a catchy tune and a faster rhythm such as “Did i hear you say you Love me” and “I ain’t gonna stand for it” these are two of my favorite tracks in the album. In this album the artist experiments and plays with new sounds which we can find in the song “All i do”. This song is characterized by a beautiful disco sound and it was originally written and composed for a duet with Tammi Terrell, 10 years previously. We can also find some reggae-influenced sounds particularly in “Master Blaster (Jammin’)” which went straight to the top of the R&B charts. We can clearly hear how this song connects us to Bob Marley’s sounds not only for the title of the song “Jammin” but also for the catchy tune and the raggae inspired sound. Some other of my favorite tracks are “As if you Read my Mind” and “Cash in your Face” which are characterized by some unique sounds and beautiful catchy tunes. To sum up in my opinion this is one of the best and most unique Stevie Wonder’s works characterized by a great variety of sounds,stunning vocals and instruments beautifully played by this music prophet. That’s why I’m recommending you all this beautiful album!!😍🎶
